Tooth whitening uses tooth-safe chemical agents to remove stains and lighten your natural tooth shade.
What types of tooth whitening are there?
In dentistry, whitening can be separated into two main categories; home whitening and in-surgery tooth whitening.
Home-whitening
For patients wishing for complete control over their desired finished tooth shade, home-whitening may be the option that you choose. After consultation with your dentist, you will have custom-made bleaching trays made and shown how to use whitening products at home for your convenience.
We hand-pick our whitening products for our patients. We supply Boutique Whitening™ for our patients. We love their custom-strength products, which allow you to go at the pace you need.
In-surgery whitening
If you’d like your teeth whitened in a single session, in-surgery whitening may be a good option. During your in-surgery whitening appointment, you will have a whitening agent applied to your teeth activated using a “blue light” and left to work. This is repeated until you have reached your desired shade. Your dentist will provide you with a home-whitening kit to keep your smile dazzling in the future.
