Bespoke dentures to replace tooth function and aesthetics.

Replacing missing teeth not only restores confidence in your smile but helps to maintain a healthy bite.

What are dentures?

Dentures are a removable prosthesis that replaces the aesthetics and functions of missing teeth.

In order to restore missing teeth, you’ll need either a full or partial denture, depending on how many teeth you wish to replace.

The first step in getting dentures is to talk to us about your options. Once we have given you everything you need to know about the treatment and design, we will provide you with time to read your bespoke treatment plan.

Looking After Your Dentures

When you have your new dentures fitted, our team will guide you through how to look after them.

We have included some vital points below:

  • Always make sure to remove your dentures at night and place them in cold water. This will ensure that your gums and soft tissues remain healthy.
  • Be sure to clean your dentures every day. Use a soft brush and non-abrasive denture paste over a filled water basin – this prevents breakages if they are accidentally dropped.
  • Maintain good oral hygiene. Brush any remaining teeth, gums, and tongue with your regular toothbrush and toothpaste.

If you have any discomfort from your dentures, please make an appointment to see us. Your dentist can adjust dentures for a more comfortable fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of full and partial dentures?

Dentures not only fill the gaps left by missing teeth, but this isn’t their only advantage.

From an aesthetic point of view, a denture can fill the appearance of things like sunken cheeks that occur with missing teeth. Dentures are also helpful for oral health. They spread the biting forces, which helps the long-term stability of remaining natural teeth.
